Man with glasses

Phil has been married to his dear wife, Janelle, for 37 years. One of his greatest joys is meeting monthly for coffee with his three grown sons. He is also a proud grandfather to eight precious grandchildren.

Phil was born and raised in Northwestern Ontario, Canada.  His missionary parents modeled  compassion for hurting, struggling people.  As a child Phil experienced bullying, abandonment, and sexual exploitation.  He pursued sexual sin to numb his pain and to fill his empty hole, climaxing in a public moral crash in 2017.  Out of this ash heap of brokenness came a deep passion to see men walk in victory and flourish through mentoring one on one. After walking with dozens of men in his home area of Lancaster, PA, he is excited about joining this team of mentors.

Phil graduated from Sharon Mennonite Bible Institute and the Hope Journey Guide mentor training.  He served for 24 years as Administrator of  Camp Andrews, a year round ministry for inner city youth and abused teen girls.  He is an ordained evangelist with the Biblical Mennonite Alliance.
